Toddlers Say the Darnest Things

Some background for this story : I am a military wife. For 2 years, my husband, Nat, regularly saw NK. They've done A LOT together and sometimes I swore NK had more fun with him! They were pretty close and NK would often ask me to ask him to come play with us haha.

About a month ago, my Coast Guard husband moved away for training. For the first week or so, NK would ask for Nat to play with us and I had to remind him that Nat was away. A few more weeks went by, and the asking got less and less.

Until today.

Mid playground trip, the 3 year old looks me in the eyes, and with the most casual breezy tone say,

"Hey Korrie, remember Nat?"

hahahahaha. incase you're wondering...... I did remember my husband
